Our client is an international company, based on the outskirts of Burton. Due to ongoing success, they are looking to appoint a CNC Machinist, someone with great mechanical aptitude who can produce high quality parts and materials by programming machines to perform the right operations. General duties will entail:
- Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc
- Reading drawings and working from viable instructions
- Translating instructions into computer commands
- Preparing and loading parts and materials on to the machines
- Inspections of equipment
- Test runs
- Setting machines to complete full cycles
- Mentoring of trainees / apprentices
- Report any near misses
- Ad hoc tasks as may be required
Candidates should be mechanically orientated with good problem solving skills. You should also be able to read engineering drawings and be self motivated with practical relevant experience.
