Permanent Vacancies Cylindrical Grinder

Our client is an international business in a specialist area of work. Due to ongoing success, they are keen to appoint a permanent Cylindrical Grinder to join their workforce to perform precision smoothing, sharpening, polishing or grinding of metal objects. General duties will entail:
- Dressing of grinding wheels according to specification
- Determine whether machine operations need adjustment
- Inspect, touch and measure work pieces
- Set up and operate grinding or polishing machines to grind metal work pieces
- File or finish surfaces of work pieces using prescribed hand tools
- Perform basic maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating
- Remove and replace worn or broken machine parts
- Compute numbers, widths and angles of cutting tools, micrometers, scales etc
- Conduct tests and inspect parts
In order to carry out this role, candidates should have knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
