Our client is a highly reputable plant hire company who is successfully expanding into the modular building industry. They have a network of depots throughout the UK and their knowledge of the industry ensures that they are well equipped to meet customer expectations and deadlines.
The are now looking to appoint a Workshop Manager to take a hands on approach to the supervision of 12 operatives who have a range of plumbing, electrical and building maintenance skills. You will be expected to maintain a presence both in the yard and the workshop to provide guidance and direction to your team. You will also undertake inspections and audits to prioritise maintenance and preparation work to meet order deadlines and maintain availability.
A background in temporary buildings would be highly beneficial but our client will also look at other environmental experience such as plant hire, as experience in leading a team in a fast-paced environment where solving problems as they arise and changing priorities are the norm and is of more importance. You should also demonstrate a passion for ensuring that customers receive the best experience and have effective communication skills.
