We are excited to partner with a leading manufacturing organization currently seeking a skilled and experienced Body Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will gain exposure to various aspects of the business while taking on responsibilities that will challenge your problem-solving abilities and enable collaboration with individuals at all organizational levels.
This department, encompasses both the Press and Weld functions responsible for manufacturing body-in-white components using advanced automated processes and the latest technologies. Your role will involve a mix of office-based planning and shop-floor coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Body Engineer, you will support production operations and lead initiatives, including:
- Facilitating the seamless introduction of new technical systems or process changes.
- Planning and overseeing contractor work within the department.
- Identifying and implementing system improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborating with production teams to investigate and resolve issues related to safety, quality, or cost.
- Partnering with local and international suppliers to enhance quality and address production challenges.
- Driving energy and CO2 reduction initiatives to support carbon neutrality goals.
The successful candidate will need to have a minimum of a 2:1 Engineering degree in a related discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Systems) and will work alongside a supportive team of engineers and managers who will help you achieve your objectives and grow professionally in line with your aspirations.
