Our client is a solution provider of sewage related services to the domestic and commercial sectors.
Following a period of growth and as part of an on-going development plan, they have an exciting opportunity for an engineer looking for a challenge in a very fast paced operational engineering environment. The role will involve projects for both off the shelf and bespoke sewage treatment and pump to mains solutions to large domestic and commercial clients.
You will be taking outline schemes and clients' briefings and developing them from initial site inspections through to installation. At any one time, you will be working on multiple projects with values from less than £20k - £300k.
Working as a member of a close knit team, you will report to and work closely with the Operations Manager. Your key responsibilities will entail:
Scheme preparation;
EA negotiation and permit applications;
Planning liaison, negotiation and applications;
Liaison with sewage undertakers and local authorities;
Liaison with clients, sites and key suppliers;
Preparation of tender documentation;
Technical reports;
Preparing O & M schedules.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have a Civil Engineering or groundworks background with some experience of Building regulations, drainage, etc. Additionally, this role would suit someone with excellent communication skills, sound engineering knowledge and able to demonstrate experience with project handling.
